Kendall County 2-1-1  Kendall County 2-1-1 is who to call when you don’t know who to call.  2-1-1 is a consolidated directory of nonprofit and governmental agencies in our community addressing social and human services.  Information can be accessed by dialing 2-1-1 on a phone, texting 989211 or going to the PATH Crisis     website. Live operators from PATH Crisis are available 24 hours a day 365 days a year in over 150 languages. PATH was chosen by Kendall County  2-1-1 because of their experience in serving 67 Illinois counties and their expertise in meeting all criteria required to be a 211 provider.   Services that 2-1-1 can help with include:  Food, clothing, shelter, housing, rent/utility assistance, counseling, substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, transportation, support groups, senior services, child care, legal assistance, employment, health care and much more.  Just call 211

The FILE of LIFE program helps members of the Police and Fire Department provide services at times when you or a family member may not be able to  communicate effectively due to medical reasons or personal injury.

Residents with any medical problems, seniors, and other interested citizens are provided a FREE FILE of LIFE packet. The packet consists of a door decal, a File of Life Information Card, and a magnetized vinyl cardholder for placement on your refrigerator door.

The door decal alerts first responders when they arrive that they can easily find your FILE of LIFE in plain view on the front of your refrigerator. The information card includes medication   taken, allergies, medical conditions, blood type,   recent surgery, and emergency contact  information. Insert the card inside the vinyl cardholder and place on your  refrigerator door.

Everyone who has a medical condition should complete a FILE of LIFE.

DETERRA (DRUG DEACTIVATION SYSTEM) BAGS

DETERRA Bags are used to dispose unwanted prescription medications. The bags are provided by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and are available at the Oswego Senior Center  Each bag will assist in destroying 45 pills or 6oz of liquid or 6 patches. Stop by for them!
