Caregiving can be exhausting. The following programs are available for caregivers.
Caregiver Education Series
What Happens When the Caregiver Has a Health Event
Tuesday, September 19: 11am – 1pm
We had a question from a caregiver, “What happens to my spouse, who I am caring for, if I have a health event and have to call 911 and go to the hospital?” This was not just a worry for this caregiver but many. The fire department, police department and Rush-Copley Medical Center will talk through different scenarios, including those that include other caregivers in the area and those situations where there is not anyone else.
Event takes place at the Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington Street.
Light lunch will be served.
RSVP required by September 18: 630-554-5602. All ages of adults welcome.
Caregiver Support Group
Friday, September 15: 10-11am
Many times we find ourselves in caregiver roles. Finding support among peers is a great opportunity to find resources and camaraderie in what can be a difficult life experience. The group will be facilitated by Keith Bielema of Kendall County Health Department.
