Caregiving can be exhausting. The following programs are available for caregivers.
Caregiver Education Series
How to Have Effective Doctor Visits
Tuesday, November 21: 11am – 1pm
Caregivers are often escorts to doctor appointments and are advocates in health care situations. Having effective doctor visits means coming prepared with questions, the updated medication list including OTC pills and supplements, and taking notes. Moreover, medication reduction often happens when a loved one is placed in a skilled nursing facility for rehab services. Even long-term medications will sometimes be changed or reduced which may cause concern for the caregiver. Learn what questions to ask in order to get all the information you need to understand the changes and advocate for your loved one.
Event takes place at the Oswego Senior Center, 156 E. Washington Street.
Light lunch will be served.
RSVP required by November 20: 630-554-5602. All ages of adults welcome.
