The Oswego Senior Center/Oswegoland Seniors Inc. is a 501c3. What began in 2007 as a lunch program quickly grew to a full-fledged senior center when it moved into its current home in March of 2009.
The mission of the senior center is to promote the general well-being of the Oswegoland Senior Community by honoring and serving our Seniors while providing an environment that improves quality of life and extends independent living.
The operation and services of the senior center are managed by 7 part time staff positions as well as some paid fitness staff and 150+ volunteers:
- Executive Director
- Center Manager
- Activities Director
- Lunch Program Manager
- Health and Education Coordinator
- Special Event and Outreach Coordinator
- Reception and Newsletter Coordinator
The success of the senior center is due to the passion and commitment of the staff and volunteers through the transition from a grass-roots initiative to a senior center that has become a fixture and go-to resource in the community.
